Breaking the Boredom

Mariam sighed and glanced round the hotel lobby, a bored look on her face. Why couldn't anything interesting happen? She knew it was too early to go outside - it was 5:30am for Pete's sake!
Sighing again, she walked over and sat down in one of the large armchairs, watching the lobby for activity through half-lidded eyes.

Mariam sighed and sat up again. She'd been slumped in the chair for about half an hour now, and was still bored. Why won't someone come?! She was seriously annoyed now.
She contemplated going back up to annoy Dunga, before deciding against it. She wasn't in the mood to argue with Dunga, although the more she thought about it the more tempting it became...
Shaking her head, Mariam settled back inot the armchair with a small smirk, resigning herself to waiting for some kind of activity. Maybe she would find a couple of street battles later on.

Tala glanced round the lobby distastefully, his eyes landing on Mariam last of all. A small smirk graced his lips, and he started over to her. "I didn't know you got up so early."

Mariam hesitated before she answered. "Couldn't sleep." she muttered shortly, looking away from him stubbornly.
She hadn't spoken to Tala much at all. She had no idea what to make of him, nor what to say to him.

Tala's smirk widened slightly at the girl's obvious discomfort. He moved to sit next to her; mostly just to watch her squirm. "I see. How are your team?"

Mariam continued to look away from him, and hesitated once more. "...They're fine." she replied shortly.

Tala's eyes narrowed slightly on her. "Anything the matter?" he asked coolly.

Mariam pulled a face - making sure he couldn't see - and turned to face him. "No, just bored." she told him, smiling sweetly. Go away, ya dumb ice-wolf.

Tala's eyes narrowed a little more, but he nodded and let her be. He stood up and walked off again; deciding he had better things to do than watch one girl squirm.

Mariam watched him go blankly, relaxing slightly when he walked out of sight. "Great, now I'm bored again." she mumbled, half-wishing she was asleep or with Tala.

kai walk's in "oh hi mariam"

Mariam glanced up. "Kai! Finally, someone who's awake and has brain cells!" she flashed him a grin. "How are you?"

kai raises an eyebrow " yeah.. im fine and youself?"

Mariam smiled. "I'm good. Well, I'll be better when Dunga gets up so I cna annoy him, but that's beside the point." she laughed lightly.

kai gave a little laugh " so what you been up too i havnt seen you in a while"

Mariam shrugged. "Ah, you know, the usual. Training, annoying Dunga, dying of boredom alone in the lobby..."

kai raised a eyebrow " you really like to annoy drunga right?"

Mariam nodded. "Yup!"

kai looks around " you seen Max anywhere ??"
turns and looks at mariam

Mariam shook her head. "No...why?"

" nothing jsust wanted to ask him somthing " kai sat down on a chair behind him and crossed his arms also with that closing his eyes.

Mariam shrugged. "Okay." she sat down beside him. "I'm gonna go annoy Dunga in a minute, wanna come?"

kai opend one eye " na it ok i think i'll go find max k see you around "

kai got up and walked away

Mariam blinked. "I feel loved." she mumbled sarcastically. She headed towards her hotel room, thinking of ways to torture Dunga.
