Back again

Mariam collapsed in a chair in the lobby, bored again. Having annoyed Dunga (yet again) she'd been kicked out of the hotel room. Great.

Max walked through the lobby door holding Tala's hand and giggling, "Oh hi, Mariam!"

Tala hung behind, not really interested in the girl.

Mariam smiled. "Hi Maxie! Hey, Tala. How are you?"

Max made Tala sit in one of the chairs then Max sat on his lap, "We're good, but Mr. Moody has gone quiet again!" Max giggled and poked Tala's cheek.

Tala scowled at him.

Mariam chuckled. "Mr Moody is generally what people think of him. Are you two together or something?"

"Umm..yeah!" Max smiled and then looked at Tala, "What's wrong?"

Tala smirked and shook his head.

Mariam tilted her head to one side. "Max, I think he's just being normal. Well, as normal as he can get..."

Max smiled evily, "He was really talk-a-tive in my room.." Max pouted cutely.

Tala scowled at Mariam and then Max. "You two are out to get me." he muttered.

Mariam laughed. "Maxie, Tala, what ever have you been up to?" it was clear from her tone that she knew exactly what they'd been doing.

Max put his hand around the back of Tala's neck and drew small circles. "So, Mariam, what have you been doing?"

Tala gave Max a warning look. He didn't like showing affection in public, and the lobby counted as public.

Mariam sighed. "Well I was annoying Dunga, but then Ozuma kicked me out the hotel room. So now I have nothing to do."

Max ignored Tala's 'look' and kept drawing the circles. Mariam's not bothered. "Ah right, you like annoying Dunga..you got a bit of a 'thing' for him?"

Tala sighed and gave up.

Mariam's expression was something between surprise and disgust. "EWWW!! Max, take that back! Tala, make him take it back!"

"Well my mum said that it's something that girls do, they pick on guys they fancy so that the guy will notice them!" Max smiled.

Tala snickered. The look on Mariam's face was priceless.

Mariam gaped at Max. "I live with him! And why would I ever like Dunga?! That's nasty!"

"Um, I'm sure he has like-a-ble qualities!" Max laughed and lent back against Tala, snuggling into him.

Tala smirked at Mariam knowingly, just to annoy her even more.

Mariam stamped her foot angrily. "That's stupid! Trust me, there's nothing nice about Dunga. Now take it back!"
